SWITCH see the MAC's transformed Music Studios

SWITCH were given the keys to our newly transformed Music Studios, we were there to watch them see it for the first time! SWITCH are MAC Makes Music's very own band-in-residence, made up of a group of young musicians who work alongside professional music leaders to write songs, play instruments and sing and learn about the many aspects of music production. Since 1962, MAC has been central to lives of so many of us and we will continue prioritising arts for everyone, long into the future. At the heart of our mission is MAC's award-winning inclusive music programme, MAC Makes Music. This ground-breaking programme provides innovative music education opportunities for children with additional needs. We put the young person’s voice and creativity at the heart of our work. With increasing budget cuts to music education, it is crucial to invest in young communities that will be disproportionately affected. This is why we were thrilled to receive Arts Council England Funding to transform our old, inaccessible, and damp(!) music rooms into modern, engaging, and accessible studios.
